American Red Cross opens new shelter in St. Louis

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - The American Red Cross has opened a new shelter in St. Louis.

Wednesday afternoon, the organization announced a new shelter was opened at Crossroads College Preparatory School at 500 DeBaliviewer Ave. In addition, the Red Cross announced it would be transitioning out of shelters at Refresh Community Church and Friendly Temple Outreach Center.

The Red Cross has current shelter locations at:

  • Crossroads College Preparatory School, 500 DeBaliviere Ave., St. Louis, MO
  • Ferguson Nazarene Church, 1309 Elizabeth, Ferguson, MO
  • Peter and Paul Community Services (Garfield Building) 2612 Wyoming, St. Louis MO
  • Urban League Peter Bunce Campus, 2141 Bissell St., St. Louis, MO

Identification and proof of residency are not required to be itted to a Red Cross shelter. The American Red Cross services are free and available to anyone.
