JEFFERSON COUNTY, Mo. (First Alert 4) - PreventED will open a recovery community center in Jefferson County later this month.

The Collective will provide a safe, substance-free environment operated by people in recovery, for people in recovery and their allies. The non-clinic, peer-operated center will aim to recovery through connection, empowerment and access to critical resources.

“Recovery is not a one-time event—it’s a lifelong journey,” said Jenny Armbruster, executive director of PreventEd. “The Collective was created to meet that ongoing need, offering a visible recovery presence in the community and a ive space for individuals and families to heal and thrive.”

According to PreventEd, Jefferson County saw overdose deaths increase by 2% in 2024, while most Missouri counties saw a decrease.

The Collective is set to open on June 25 at 924 Jeffco Executive Drive in Imperial.
