St. Louis native loses home in LA wildfires
ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - People’s lives are being turned upside down because of the wildfires, including a St. Louis native who now calls the LA area home.
Michelle Moll sent First Alert 4 images of her apartment building and surrounding neighborhood burned to ashes by the Eaton fire.
For the last two years, Moll and her partner called Altadena home.
Moll said they evacuated when they saw the flames getting closer, but have now lost nearly all their personal belongings.
Moll said the biggest loss is the community they loved.
“It was only our home for a couple years, but we had friends who lived there, small business, just the community they were so welcoming and just for that to be gone in an instant is just heartbreaking,” Moll said.
Moll and her partner are now staying at an Air BnB as they work to figure out where to re-start their lives.
